Following an inspiring few days together in Szeged, Hungary, the International Empowering Workshop has officially come to a close. Youth workers from Ireland, Hungary, France and Poland came together to share ideas, challenge perspectives and explore new ways of creating innovative volunteering opportunities for young people.

The workshop was about much more than learning. It was about building relationships, exchanging experiences and developing practical ideas that participants can now take back to their own communities. But this is only the beginning.

Over the coming months, the six participants from Ireland will work with local partners to design and deliver cross-sectoral volunteering initiatives, putting their new knowledge into practice and encouraging more young people to become active in their communities. The learning from these activities will continue to shape the LIVE project and strengthen collaboration between our partner organisations.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed their enthusiasm, creativity and experience throughout the week. We can’t wait to see how these ideas grow into real projects that make a lasting difference.
