Check out how Roche Pharmaceuticals and their employee volunteers transformed a community garden in Finglas on a beautiful sunny summer’s day.
The Men’s Shed members at this Finglas community garden were blown away by the help and support they received (both human and financial) to help them improve and maintain their garden which is a central part of the local community.
Along with hosting the Men’s Shed this garden acts as a meeting point for local residents, many of whom come from immigrant communities; occasionally you might see an outdoor Zumba class in action or a gathering of parents and you’ll regularly see children and adults with Asperger’s syndrome or other special needs planting, chatting or wandering around and enjoying the peace and nature’s soothing calm.
