The project saw us explore how volunteering is promoted and supported through different education pathways in Ireland. In particular, we focused on service learning and civic education.
As part of the project, we conducted a survey on how the skills learned through volunteering are appreciated and articulated. Some highlights include:
We developed a national factsheet on service learning in Ireland which outlines where service learning is now and suggestions for the future.
Based on our learnings during the project, we created a national development plan with recommendations on how to improve service learning in Ireland.
