KBC Dublin Marathon Ambassador ProgrammeThis is a new and exciting role at the KBC Dublin Marathon for 2019. We are engaging volunteers in and around the meet and greet area on Baggot Street and in and around Lesson Street and the Grand Canal area.

The role will involve engaging with Marathon participants and ensuring they are heading home in the right direction (They won’t be able to cross Mount Street / Northumberland Street and will need to head for Stephen’s Green to go to the North side of the City).

Meet and Greet Volunteers will be provided with maps and details of alternative routes, however they must be willing to proactively engage with the KBC Dublin Marathon participants to ensure everyone gets safely on their way home after the event.

Volunteers should have a good command of English, however it is important that they are willing to engage with the general public. Volunteers will be in operating in pairs in this area. It would be useful if you had a knowledge of Dublin City Centre, however as road diversions are in place an ability to understand locations and read a simple map is equally useful.

Volunteers will meet at the Volunteer Hub in The Alex Hotel, Fenian Street before and after their shifts. Food, refreshments and a certificate will be available for all volunteers.Click here to apply to Volunteer
