The e-VOC project offers a new online learning module aimed at improving the accessibility and quality of training for volunteer coordinators regarding the validation of volunteer competences. Four organisations from four European countries joined forces to develop this first multilingual online training course for volunteer coordinators on the validation of non-formal learning competencies in the voluntary sector.
Throughout the project, the partners co-designed, tested and launched the online module and now it is hoped that volunteer coordinators who complete the module will be able to create learning outcomes for their volunteer programmes with the aim of bringing their volunteers on a formal educational journey aligned with accreditation systems.
Volunteers are now able to map learning from their volunteering experiences to the programme learning outcomes and demonstrate their active learning. This helps volunteer coordinators to encourage a love of lifelong learning with volunteers.
This project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, was a joint initiative of the Spanish Volunteering Platform (Spain), CSVnet (Italy), EDOS Foundation (The Netherlands), and National University of Ireland, Galway with Volunteer Ireland (Ireland).
