Project Overview

LIVE is an Erasmus+ project empowering youth workers to create innovative volunteering opportunities that inspire participation, strengthen communities, and support active citizenship.

The LIVE Erasmus+ Project is an international cooperation initiative designed for youth workers who support young people in becoming active members of their communities through volunteering. The project brings together partner organisations from Hungary, Ireland, France, and Poland to share experience, learn from one another, and develop new approaches to cross-sectoral volunteering. By connecting civil society organisations, public institutions, municipalities, and other community actors, the project helps build stronger cooperation and creates more opportunities for young people to participate in society.

The project partners are will work together to improve the skills and confidence of youth workers and to reduce the gap between young people and different sectors of society. The project focuses on practical learning, inclusion, and cooperation, especially supporting youth workers who have fewer opportunities and who work directly with young people in their daily activities.

A key activity of the project is the International Empowering Workshop, which will take place in Szeged, Hungary, in June 2026. Six youth workers from each partner country (24 participants in total) will travel to Hungary to take part in the training, together with a facilitator. During the workshop, participants will learn through hands-on activities, intercultural exchange, and joint voluntary actions. They will explore new methods for motivating young people, learn inclusive approaches, and contribute to the creation of a practical Infographics Guide on Cross-Sectoral Volunteering, which will be available in four languages.

After the international workshop, participants will return to their countries and implement what they learned through local volunteering activities, networking, and knowledge-sharing events. Each country will organise local cross-sectoral volunteer actions, multiplication events, and outreach activities to spread the project results. The expected outcomes include stronger professional skills for youth workers, new international partnerships, innovative volunteering methods, and increased youth participation in community life. In the long term, the project aims to strengthen youth work across Europe and encourage more young people to become active, engaged citizens.
