Thursday May 16th – Cork Volunteer Centre will hold a Wellness Day for volunteers, including free workshops in mindfulness, wellness, yoga and more.
Donegal Volunteer Centre
Sunday 12th May – Ards Forrest Park North – Donegal VC will attend the annual walk and talk event to promote volunteering and the impact of same on mental health.
Monday 13th May – Launch of ME4U Awards

Tuesday 14th May – Ballyshannon South DLDC Showcase event in Ballyshannon- Donegal VC will host a stand to engage with and recruit volunteers and VIO’s.
Wednesday 15th May – RnG Gaeltacht Radio Interview
The Donegal VC will again engage with RnG to have a session on their very popular Gaeltacht wide mid-morning show. The interview will focus on the awards and the services offered by the Donegal VC to communities across the region.
Thursday 16th May – Ballyb/ Stran East Refugee Workshop – As a follow up to a talk earlier this year a session around the value of volunteering will be held with the refugees in east Donegal as a means of continuing their journey towards becoming part of one Donegal.
Thursday 16th May – Letterkenny Customer Service Workshop for VOI’s & Volunteers. This training will support the ongoing development of volunteers and the service provided.
Friday 17th May – Inishowen Volunteer Talk & Customer Service Workshop for Volunteers. This training will support the ongoing development of volunteers and the service provided. of continuing their journey towards becoming part of one Donegal.
Saturday 18th May – Letterkenny – Donegal VC will host a stall at the Bealtaine Festivals Silver Linings Event.

Open Day – Friday 17th May
To celebrate our volunteers and National Volunteering Week we are going to have an open day at the Dublin City Volunteer Centre Friday 17th May 12-3pm.
Come and enjoy some refreshments whilst chatting to our staff about our services, get registered and find out more about the latest volunteer opportunities in Dublin. If you are an experienced volunteer, come to share your story and help inspire others to volunteer. Everyone is also invited to attend a Tai Chi/Qi Gong class from 1.15-1. 45pm (Places are limited and will be allocated by first come first served).

Self-Care for One Good Adult – Jigsaw
Monday 13th May, 11.00 – 12.00am, Kerry Volunteer Centre, 7 Maine St. Tralee
This 1 hour workshop is aimed at adults who work or volunteer with young people in their community. It provides understanding and skills to help people look after their own well-being while acting as that one Good Adult for a young person. It has been developed by Jigsaw, the National Centre for Mental Health.
Investing in your Volunteers – Kerry Volunteer Centre

If your organisation involves volunteers and you want to ensure that the volunteering experience is of real benefit both to volunteers and to the organisation, then it is worth checking out this 2 hour workshop ‘Investing in Volunteers’. It will help you to plan systems of volunteer management which are based upon recognised good practice.
Unlocking your Potential & Celebrating Volunteering – Motivational Speaker, Dee Keogh

Are you living at your full potential? Feel as though you are in a rut? Unsure of which direction to go? This powerful 2 hour seminar will be interactive and help participants change their self-talk, step out of their comfort zones and plug into their true potential.
My Mental Health – What Helps? – Jigsaw

This two hour interactive workshop is for young people engaged in informal education and community settings. As a result workshop participants will gain an understanding of mental health, have a greater awareness of what helps and hurts your mental health and gain key strategies that they can implement to improve and manage their own mental health on a day-to-day basis.
The Benefit’s and Diversity of Volunteering – Kerry Volunteer Centre

Kerry Volunteer Centre has linked up with the National Learning Network and will be facilitating a seminar on the benefits and diversity of volunteering. Diversity in volunteering is actively encouraging people from all walks of life to volunteer & embracing different skills and talents, as well as opportunities to volunteer open to all and all people treated equally while volunteering.

Offaly Volunteering Information Services with Birr and Tullamore MHAs are delighted to offer an evidenced based Workshop on the Five Ways to Well-being to celebrate National Volunteering Week and to acknowledge the support, kindness and generosity offered by so many volunteers at all levels of interest and focus throughout County Offaly. This workshop offers participants opportunities for self-care and personal development. Evidence suggests these are five steps we can all take to improve and boost our mental well-being and create balance in our daily lives.

On Tuesday 14th May, the wonderful Staff of Elavon, Arklow & the students and staff of National Learning Network, Arklow will once again be joining forces to help clean up Ennereilly Beach outside the town. This beach can always benefit from a clean-up and particularly after Storm Hannah there will be plenty to keep us busy!
From 10.00am until 11.30am we will be hard at work. Litter pickers, gloves & bags along with the removal of the rubbish bags will be provided by Wicklow County Council. All welcome!
Also on Tuesday 14th May @ 10.30am the staff of Wicklow Volunteer Centre will make a presentation to the service users in The Saol Anois Day Service. The day service, based in Festina Lente Bray, aims to meet the support needs of adults with intellectual disabilities and/or dual diagnosis. It is a supportive and therapeutic service designed to meet the needs of people through individual plans. Wicklow Volunteer Centre staff will talk to them about becoming volunteers and discuss how they can get involved in their community.
