Volunteer Ireland – Programmes & Development Officer (Maternity Cover)
Part-time role (21 hours per week over 3 days), fixed-term contract for 6 months with a possible extension, based in Dublin. Salary: €30,000 per annum pro rata (€17,999)

Purpose of role
The purpose of the Programmes & Development Officer (PDO) role is to develop and deliver Volunteer Ireland’s services in relation to volunteer management and volunteer management support. The PDO will secure, develop, deliver and / or support volunteer management programmes and volunteer placement programmes that VI undertakes on behalf of third parties (e.g. student volunteering, event volunteer / volunteer ambassador programmes etc.).
The Programmes & Development Officer will work primarily on the following key functions within Volunteer Ireland:
- Recruiting, managing and supporting volunteers at a range of festivals and events
- Supporting, reviewing and evaluating volunteer ambassador programmes on behalf of external organisations
- Linking with European Partners on a number of Erasmus+ Programmes. Collating data and designing programme elements and working with local delivery organisations.
The PDO will also be expected to collaborate across all functions within the organisation towards enhancing the services that VI offers.
