Can I volunteer?

Many people ask the question ‘Can I volunteer?’ or ‘Do they want someone like me?’ The answer is ‘yes,’ you can volunteer and they do want you! Whatever your circumstances, whether you are young, old, you work full time, you have a family, you are a foreign national living in Ireland, or if you need special supports to volunteer, your local Volunteer Centre wants to hear from you.

Your Volunteer Centre will work with you to find a suitable volunteer opportunity that matches your time, skills and interests. Volunteer Centres Ireland and all our member Volunteer Centre’s have a vision that everyone in Ireland should have access to volunteering opportunities that are fulfilling and engaging, and which contribute to the development of community and the betterment of society.
