Engaging with Companies

Employer supported volunteering is becoming increasingly popular in Ireland. More and more employers are offering staff a 'volunteering day', whereby employees can work with a community group or charity for a day without taking annual leave. A team of employee volunteers can often tackle big or daunting once off projects - tasks that organisations may typically struggle with due to a lack of staff / volunteers or funding for materials to realise the project.

Is your charity or community group interested in involving volunteers from a company? Find out more about Volunteer Ireland's employee volunteering service that matches teams of company employees with not-for-profit groups for unique and meaningful community volunteer days, through our Team Impact Day service.

For tips on how your organisation can start working with companies, download our guide to involving employee volunteers, or contact for more information on our 2016 training schedule, designed specifically to support not-for-profits who want to engage corporate volunteers in positive and high-impact volunteering opportunities.
