Welcome to our 2017 Volunteer Management Training Calendar
Chief Executive Officer's Welcome
Welcome to Volunteer Ireland’s Volunteer Management Training Calendar 2017. This guide is intended as an overview of Volunteer Ireland’s scheduled training in 2017 and shows how we can help take your volunteering programme to the next level.
We at Volunteer Ireland believe in the impact and value of volunteers. We work with hundreds of volunteer-involving organisations of all sizes to ensure that volunteers are given the best possible support at every stage of their volunteering experience.
Volunteer Ireland has developed a comprehensive range of training to increase the effectiveness and impact of involving volunteers with your organisation.
Our National Volunteer Management Training Programme targets the needs of all those working with volunteers. Our training courses have been developed to help you deliver the best possible volunteer support, resources and supervision, assisting you on your journey to become an outstanding Volunteer Manager and an inspiring volunteer leader.
Our training calendar is divided into three different strands:
- Volunteer insight webinars – online courses design to help you better under volunteering
- Volunteer leadership training – focusing on advanced level volunteer leadership
- Volunteer management training – half and full day sessions to explore specific volunteer management topics
In addition to the scheduled training outlined in this calendar we also provide the following:
Volunteer management master class – a collection of over 30 volunteer management master class topics that we can deliver for you at a time and venue that suits your needs.
Bespoke training – we can design training specifically designed for your organisation’s needs and delivered at a location and time of your choice.
National volunteer management conference – the annual national volunteer management conference bringing together our sector in Sligo in June 2017
In 2017 we will launch a new e-learning module for volunteers and a revised and updated 4 module Volunteer Management Training delivered by your local Volunteer Centre. We are also delighted to be working with colleagues from NUI Galway, Spain, Italy and Netherlands to develop e-VOC: Electronic Validation of Competencies for Volunteers and Volunteer Managers. Updates on all these projects can be found on our web site www.volunteer.ie
We look forward to announcing even more exciting developments during 2017.
