DIT  are pleased to invite you to apply for the Certificate in Volunteering. This unique 12 week, part-time course allows you the opportunity to graduate from DIT with a nationally accredited academic qualification in volunteering.

Course Title: CPD ( continuing professional development)  Certificate in Volunteering.

Course start date: Monday 18th February 2008

Duration: 12 weeks

Venue: DIT Mountjoy Square

Assessment: Learning diary  (You keep a diary which records how you put learning from the course into action in your life and particularly in your voluntary work).

Fees: €88 

What will you learn?

Self confidence, communication skills, project management and time management skills, presentation skills, managing conflict, making successful grant applications and much more.

 

Conditions

 

  • You must be a volunteer. If you contribute in a voluntary capacity to a local charity or community group, you qualify for admission. Perhaps you train an underage sports team, help someone with a disability, run a local political cumann, are active in a church group or help stage amateur dramas. Once you volunteer your time and energy, you are eligible.
  • Have you got three hours every Monday night for 12 weeks from 18th February 2008? (You get a two week break at Easter).
