Meath Partnership invites applications for the position of Development Manager

Role Description

The Meath Volunteer Centre will provide support, leadership, co-ordination and a greater sense of purpose and direction for the volunteering community active across County Meath. The role of the Development Manager will be to establish and assume responsibility for the effective day-to-day operation of the Meath Volunteer Centre and Service, through the development of innovative volunteer supports on a county-wide basis. Specifically, the successful candidate will be required to:

  • Develop and establish the Centre as an appropriate needs-driven resource structure and support for volunteers and voluntary and community groups, including the development and implementation of appropriate policies and practice guidelines across County Meath
  • Animate and promote the Centre throughout the County, particularly in areas currently under-serviced in terms of volunteer activity
  • Fully implement the agreed Workplan for the Centre and its services, securing additionality and value for money
  • Recruit and interview prospective volunteers for opportunities arising in the voluntary and community sector
  • Identify, develop and maximise volunteering opportunities in the County
  • Design and provide training for local organisations and local volunteers in relevant areas
