Dublin City South Volunteer Centre: Placement Officer

The Dublin City South Volunteer Centre is a community organisation that promotes volunteering by providing services in the recruitment, placement and support of volunteers across Dublin City South. The Volunteer Centre also provides support and training to community organisations who currently involve or are seeking to involve volunteers in their programmes.

The centre now invites applications for the post of:

Placement Officer
(35 hours per week)

The role involves recruiting volunteers for a wide range of voluntary organisations and groups in Dublin City South, and ensuring that volunteers are matched to an opportunity suitable to their skills and interests.

The Placement Officer will be responsible for promoting volunteering, interviewing potential volunteers, maintaining accurate records, developing excellent relationships with voluntary groups and organisations, and supporting the staff team in the implementation of the Centre’s workplan.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to volunteering, excellent communication and IT skills, a flexible and adaptable approach, enthusiasm and a friendly manner.

Salary: euro 37,400 p.a.
