Anna Lee (Chair)

Anna Lee has worked the area of community development and anti-poverty work since 1986 and was the CEO of the South Dublin County Partnership, working as a local development  manager since 1991.  She has had a long involvement in issue based work and has written about community development and partnership.

Gerard Keating (Company Secretary)

Gerry is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and a Chartered Member of CIPD (Chartered MCIPD).

He has worked in Professional Services Practice continuously since 1976. His managerial experience includes Auditing and Accounting, Professional Education, Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility.

In his current role as Director at Deloitte his focus is mainly on Corporate Social Responsibility and Professional Education and to a lesser extent on Human Resources.

Gerard is a member of the Education, Training and Life Long Learning Board at Chartered Accountants Ireland. His interest in and commitment to the wider community is reflected in his membership of the Board of Directors of Volunteer Ireland (Volunteering Ireland Limited) and of the Executive Committee of Write to Read, a literacy project based in St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra. He has recently been appointed a Member of the CSR Stakeholder Forum Sub-Group on the Public Sector under the Government’s National Plan on CSR.

William Earley

William practised as a solicitor in the field of company and commercial law in Dublin for nearly 40 years, 32 of them as a partner in McCann FitzGerald.  He founded the firm’s London office in 1986 and was head partner there until 1990.  He served as Managing Partner of the firm from 1993 to 1997.  

He has during his career advised some of Ireland’s leading businesses and cultural institutions at board level.
With a career-long interest in intellectual property and information technology he founded the firm’s Technology and Innovation Group in 1997 and served as partner (and latterly consultant) in that Group until his retirement in March 2012.

William now concentrates on serving as director or in other advisory roles in the areas of technology, the arts and the voluntary sector, with an emphasis on contributing his experience to improving corporate governance. He also likes to leave time for music (especially opera), theatre, golf, travel and the study of art history.

Dr. Margaret Rogers

Dr Margaret Rogers has worked in the community and voluntary sector for over 25 years. She is currently Head of Visitation, Youth and Member Development with the Society of St Vincent de Paul. She has previously held a variety of post with Barnardos, and has worked as child, youth and vulnerable adult welfare adviser, as well as an early years and organisational development consultant, researcher, trainer and professional supervisor with a range of voluntary and public sector organisations.

John Curran

John Curran is the Manger of Donegal Volunteer Centre and one of five Government appointed Board Members of Údarás Na Gaeltachta the Gaeltacht Regional Development Authority. John also a qualified Solicitor with a varied educational background including a Masters in Innovation Management coupled with additional third level qualifications in Law, Irish & IT.  

Active in the area of Local & community Development for over 10 years, he has a wide experience across the spectrum of community focused organisations, having worked within the Community & Enterprise Section of Donegal County Council, with Donegal Local Development Company and with a number of small community focused projects across Donegal.

 John brings this experience and the networks created to his current position in the Donegal Volunteer Centre and is focused on assisting volunteers within the County access quality volunteering opportunities and to working with volunteer involving organsiations to maximise their potential.

Carmel Murphy

Carmel Murphy is a senior HR professional with over 15 years leadership and management experience gained in dynamic, commercial environments.  Currently, HR Director with Arnotts with overall responsibility for developing the people strategy for the business and for managing the HR, Learning & Development and Compensation and Benefit Functions.  Carmel recently qualified with a coaching diploma and is a member of the Institute of Directors. 

Carmel holds a B.Comm from UCC and a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business, UCD. Carmel started her career when she joined Dunnes Stores on their Trainee Management Programme.  Having spent a number of years as a HR Manager within various stores in the organisation, she eventually held the position of Group Head of Employee Relations. 

Carmel is a Director of the Arnotts Pension Fund and a non-Executive Director of Health Action Overseas, a charity that works with adults with intellectual disabilities in Romania.

Francis Kehoe

Francis is a Chartered Management Accountant and brings with him a range of experience in finance related appointments. In his current role as the Finance Officer for the Communications and Information Services he has budgetary responsibility for IT expenditure across the entire spectrum of the Defence Forces operations including Naval Service, Army and Air Corps.

Since being awarded a Cadetship in 1997, Francis has completed a Diploma in Leadership Studies, B COMM, MBS Strategic Procurement DCU and MSc Strategic Management Accounting, Smurfit Business School. He has served in operational appointments on overseas duty in Liberia and Kosovo.  In 2013, he was promoted to Commandant.

Edwina Dewart

Edwina is the Manager of Dublin City Volunteer Centre, which was established in 2014 from a merger of Dublin City North and Dublin City South Volunteer Centre. She has over 15 years’ experience in the not-for-profit sector in a variety of contexts and settings. Prior to working in volunteer centres she worked in refugee camps in Ethiopia. She also serves on the board of Serve in the City.

On a personal, as well as professional, level Edwina is very interested in the theme of flourishing communities and societies. Her third level qualifications include European Studies, Globalisation, Transformational Leadership and Governance. With a very active toddler she and her husband can just about remember what leisure time was!
