In July 2008, Home Retail Group owners of all Argos stores and Heart Children Ireland teamed up for the ’Keeping Hearts Beating’ campaign, which has been running from July 2008 – July 2010. Management and staff at all Argos throughout Ireland have so far raised over € 140,000 for Heart Children Ireland these funds are vital in helping improve the lives of children with congenital heart defects.
Heart Children Ireland “Keeping Hearts Beating” is looking for volunteers to fundraise in an Argos Cavan on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th January. Over this weekend we will be selling Heart Children Ireland red windmills we ask the public to buy a windmill (2euro each) which will directly support families and fund vital services to improve the quality of life for children with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). Heart Disease (CHD) Congenital Heart Defect is the most common of all birth defects affecting one in every 100 children born in Ireland today.
1 or 2 hours of your time would be very much appreciated. This is our last big fundraiser before the partnership ends in July 2010. You will be briefed on arrival at the store and all merchandise will be provided in store, all you need to do is turn up! All volunteers will be given an Argos 10% discount voucher for volunteering their services.
