The National Day of Volunteering is that one day of the year when we encourage Volunteer Involving Organisations (VIOs) to make available once off volunteering opportunities for the general public. To show that volunteering even for a minute, an hour, a day can make a difference and be a lot of fun.

However, there are many other ways that VIOs can get involved. Why not host an openday, celebrate and acknowledge your existing volunteers or get your staff and volunteers involved with something entirely different to what they usually do.

If you would like to have more information about how your organisation can get involved during the National Day of Volunteering then download our Frequently Asked Questions for Volunteering Involving Organisations. Alternatively contact your Local Volunteer Centre!

If you have an idea for a National Day of Volunteering project don’t forget to fill out our Project Registration Form. You can also use the National Day of Volunteering as a good excuse to acknowledge the great work your volunteers are doing. Thank your volunteers by filling in our Thank You Form and your volunteers will appear in our annual Volunteer Roll of Honour.
