Two volunteers urgently needed to help work on the Limerick Tunnel site
Charleville Castle Heritage Trust is seeking for two volunteers to help work on the Limerick Tunnel site - not on the Limerick Tunnel project itself, but to help remove 2 temporary buildings from the site to prepare it for transport to Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

14 volunteer workers are already helping to take down these 2 temporary structures but more workers are needed in order to take it down by the deadline of February 28th.
The two buildings were temporary dormatories for Austrian workers on the Limerick Tunnel project from 2006 to 2009, but their contracts has been completed and have left the premises. German company Strabag has graciously donated the two buildings to Charleville Castle Heritage Trust in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, but the deal was that the Heritage Trust provide volunteer workers to take the buildings down to transport it to the castle site by the deadline.

There is a good number of unemployed construction workers, architects, fitters, riggers and electricians working away at this project since early January, mostly from Tullamore and Dublin. They will be able to add this experience to their CV’s in order to improve their chances for job opportunity.

Candidates would need to have an existing valid Safe Pass and steel toed boots, and if they had their own hard hat and high viz it would be an asset but not entirely necessary - there are hard hats and high viz available on site but more is better.
