Volunteer Centres Ireland has made getting involved even easier for you with our new list of 50 Great Projects for the National Day of Volunteering! From previous activity lists to new ideas, VCI narrowed down a list of 50 simple, but fun and rewarding volunteer activities. This list of 50 is broken down even more to highlight great volunteer options for different demographics.
Volunteering is any action undertaken of a person’s freewill for the benefit of others for which no payment is expected. More than this, it is the building block of community and the essence of society. Voluntary activity is an essential sign of a society in which people care for one another. Without it, we are only a country of individuals.
This year, the National Day of Volunteering is on Friday, October 1st. With our new list of activities, you can get involved at school, work, or even in the comfort of your own home! Check out 50 Great Projects for the National Day of Volunteering under the "Get Inspired" tab at volunteer.ie.
