Know your Neighbour Weekend
The Wheel is encouraging community and voluntary groups to get involved in the fifth national Know your Neighbour Weekend, which takes place over the weekend of 24-25 July.

This innovative initiative by Macra na Feirme aims to encourage good neighbourliness and stronger communities. Irish people are seeing a change in their living circumstances, but it is important that people get to know their neighbours and those in their locality, because in times like these it’s good to know those who are close to you.

This is a great opportunity to link in with other groups in your area, or to thank your supporters. We encourage you to get involved by organising a:

• barbeque
• coffee morning
• sports day/evening
• cheese and wine evening
• or any other event that will help you to get know people and groups in your area.

Can’t do it over the weekend? Why not organise an event on the Friday afternoon (23 July)? It’s the perfect way to start the weekend!

Apply now for your free organiser’s pack containing printed posters, fliers, invitations and stickers by:
• emailing info@knowyourneighbour.ie
• filling in the application form on www.knowyourneighbour.ie
• texting KYN followed by a space and your name and address to 51444.
• calling the Macra na Feirme office on (01) 4268910

With your help we hope to make the Know Your Neighbour Weekend 2010 the best yet!
