Fingal Volunteer Centre seeks Manager
Fingal Volunteer Centre, now wishes to recruit for the post of Manager. The Fingal Volunteer Group is funded through the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Fingal County Council and Blanchardstown Area Partnership.
 
The Fingal Volunteer Centre will match potential volunteers with volunteering opportunities and promote and support volunteerism throughout the county. The duties of the Manager will include the following:
• Manage the centre as a viable resource for voluntary and community groups and volunteers, including implementing appropriate policies and practice guidelines across the Fingal County area.
• Work to a strategic plan for the sustainability of a county-wide volunteer centre in Fingal.
• Develop operation of the Fingal Volunteer Centre in areas currently under-serviced.
• Ensure appropriate direction of the Fingal Volunteer Centre’s human resources.
• Identify and seek additional funding opportunities for the centre and future project developments.
• Promote and develop concept of volunteering to all sections of the community.
 
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following:
• Direct Management experience in similar or related field.
• Appropriate 3rd level qualifications or relevant Community and Voluntary sector experience.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to community development principles.
