The European Commission has launched an open ‘Stakeholders Consultation’ to gather ideas and opinions for the establishment of the European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps (EVHAC). Responses are requested on a range of issues including the expected impact of EVHAC, the profiles, types of activities and support measures for volunteers. The online consultation will be open until 3rd of May 2011 and is preparing the ground for the Commission legislative proposal to be presented in 2012. The Commission welcomes contributions from citizens, organisations and public authorities.
